My OS is Win98SE; Need to increase RAM and Remove Pesttrap and SMithfraud and?

I need to increase RAM so i can download a Pesttrap and Smithfraud removal applications; and also so that I can download openoffice and get rid of MS works 2000. Again, this must be freeware, since i have NO funds.
I tried something called memory booster; but when I attempted to open/install it said unable to initialize, file size is 715922, available 654418, and something ?? about Win32 Mode.
Folks, I’m in deeep if i can’t resolve this. I need an online resource to download and increase available RAM. Please, your help is greatly needed and appreciated. Thanks.

Sounds like your problem is not with you RAM (which is your computer’s memory). It sounds like you have no space left on your hard drive. You will need to either delete some things you doing need, remove a couple of programs you do not absolutely have to have, move some pictures, music, etc off your hard drive and onto a CD. But you need to get at least 10-15% of your hard drive freed up. If you right click on your C: (hard drive) and select Properties, you will see a little pie chart that shows how much free space you have.
Once you have freed up hard drive space you will be able to install Ad-aware or Spybot Seek and Destroy (free downloads) to clean the spyware.
